As we see in this title there are some terms which are independent and dependent on each other. What is this all about? Let’s go down deep into the usage of crypto undergrounds.
Tranq drug in Us
“Tranq” is a slang term for tranquilizer, which refers to a class of medications that are commonly used to relieve anxiety, promote relaxation, and induce sleep. Tranquilizers work by slowing down the central nervous system, which can help to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
‘Tranq Dope’ is a mix of Fentanyl, the opioid that has decimated America’s youth, and a veterinary drug called Xylazine.
Xylazine is used as a tranquilizer or Anastasia drug for animals, it was tested on humans in the 90s and the effects were outrageous for a very short term by which it was banned among humans.
Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid drug that is primarily used to manage severe pain. It is approximately 50-100 times more potent than morphine and can produce rapid and intense analgesic effects.
Even a 2mg of this can kill you owing to an overdose.
Now these drugs are in high use among the US citizens which is also killing more than 4 per minute as estimated by various reports.
This drug makes people become like a zombie which we see in movies… a zombie is a corpse which is still controlled by a fungus or bacteria. ‘Dead but moves’ without the function of the brain.
What does this have to do with crypto?
We all know that these kinds of drugs are already illegal in many countries including the USA because of which an open market is never available for these kinds of drugs.
All these drugs are dealt underground till the cash is processed. Even these cash are not made in physical form but digitally in crypto which are later cashed in physical form.
And because of the decentralized and transparent feature of crypto it becomes easy for these criminals to enjoy the transaction facilities at ease.
As we feared there is a rising need in the regulations right now than any other time owing to the increasing death rates of people due to these drugs.
Previously…
In 2022 US drug enforcement agencies seized nearly $1.8M from Binance by finding out the transaction of criminals who were selling narcotics from Michigan to Mexico through stablecoins.
They used Binance to purchase USDT and Bitcoins and they sent these coins to an address in Mexico which was owned by a group of narcotic drug dealers.
So it’s not something new in crypto’s history where it has been used illegally like this.
There is an exclusive hint to find out these illegal transactions!
None of the drug dealers will take risk of selling drugs in small quantities and making a small profit.
They take risks only when the gains are huge and when the profit is huge.
And so to meet these requirements only coins which are popular and are of high value can work with.
Or else the transaction will become complex and multiple transactions on different coins might be needed.
So these popular coins like bitcoin, Ethereum, tether are the only ways they make their transactions happen.
Anyway….This is a hypothetical case but can be proven with facts and figures and steps can be made accordingly.
